The partnership between Topps and StockX wasn’t a one-time thing. 2020 Bowman Chrome X was released on Sunday as a StockX exclusive.
The two companies offered a similar collaboration last year after StockX added trading cards to its platform. 2020 Bowman Chrome X is being offered as part of StockX’s “DropX” product release method that offers brands and creators the opportunity to release products directly to StockX’s global audience. As was the case last year, the product was sold only through StockX.
2020 Bowman Chrome X is limited to 1,000 boxes and 500 five-box cases. Each box contains one PSA graded card of a prospect or rookie. The checklist is a short one—just 100 cards including 61 prospects and 39 rookies (see below).
Green X-Fractor base cards are numbered /to 31. This year, parallels enter the mix with Gold X-Fractors numbered to 3 and 1/1 Red X-Fractors available for all 100 players.
Prices started at $70 for the boxes and $400 for the cases, with tiered pricing in effect, meaning those who committed to purchase as soon as the product went live got it for the cheapest prices (see below).
