While some chase down bargain priced TVs, computers and video gaming systems, collectors want something else. Truth be told, collectibles shouldn’t be immune from the biggest shopping weekend of the year. We’ve once again tracked down some Black Friday sports memorabilia specials and other deals that will be going on during Cyber Monday and in the coming weeks. Some merchants have already begun offering discounts.
It’s probably not a bad idea to bookmark this page for handy reference in the next few days if you’re doing some online shopping. Here goes:
COMC will be conducting a four-day Black Friday Sale (Nov 24th – 27th) with three individual sales events – Black Friday (Nov 24th), Black Friday Weekend (Nov 25th & 26th) and Cyber Monday (Nov 27th). This year they’re offering free shipping and discounts between 5% and 90% on millions of sports and non-sports cards.
Topps will be discounting some trading card boxes and cases, 5×7 cards and seets, autographed memorabilia, wall art and other items. From Friday through Cyber Monday, the first 1,000 orders will receive a free exclusive baseball card. The cards will feature Aaron Jud1ge (Friday), Mike Trout (Saturday), Carlos Correa (Sunday) and Cody Bellinger (Monday).
The deals (and the free cards) are available through the company’s online store.
Among the busiest online retailers is Steiner Sports. Autographs, photos, game-used items and more are listed on their website.
They’ll have different discounts and different discount codes in play, depending on the day, all via this link. There are 100 discounted items placed online each day at noon Eastern time. For other items, use the discount code CYBER40 to get 40% off your order. They also have Daily Doorbusters at up to 90% off.
MeiGray, which has exclusive game-worn memorabilia partnerships with several pro sports leagues, is offering numerous deals via its website, including gift vouchers, BOGOs and discounts on thousands of jerseys and other game-worn items.
Fanatics, which offers autographed memorabilia, cards and fan gear such as apparel, is offering 25% off with the discount code BLACKFRI while their partner SportsMemorabilia.com will also have ongoing deals on autographed sports memorabilia, sports cards, display items and more throughout the next couple of weeks. Some items are being sold at up to 80% off with free shipping.
Among the cooler pieces that will be marked down are the Spotlight Collection, the In Focus pieces and the Filmstrip Collection (see Nolan Ryan below).
We’re told sports card boxes, sets, singles and related items are part of the sale and have their own dedicated section. Some items are already discounted. You can sort to find items by various price points.
Hunt Auctions is offering 20% off all items in its webstore through Monday night including autographed baseballs, photos, jerseys, etc.
If you buy sports cards (or anything else) at Target, you can get 5% cash back each purchase by using the company’s Red Card which can be obtained here. You can also shop their online store which has free shipping and returns through December 23.
As usual, major online sports card retailers such as Blowout Cards are offering major discounts on hobby and blaster boxes and cases on Friday (and some now).
You can find just about anything on Amazon and they will usually have deals on sports cards and memorabilia, which are located here. Prime members can get their orders within a couple of days.
And, of course, don’t forget to visit your local card shop. You can pick up some free special holiday packs created by the card companies and maybe win some prizes. Details on the promotional events taking place across the country are here, courtesy of Mike Fruitman of Mike’s Stadium Sportscards.
