Not every great baseball artifact stays in Cooperstown.
"Baseball as America", an exhibit of memorabilia from the Hall of Fame, has touched down in Philadelphia where fans and collectors drool over some of the artifacts– and the stories behind it all.
At least two former big leaguers paid a visit to the "mini-Hall" and came away impressed.
One of Babe Ruth’s most important game-used bats is on display, along with a T206 Wagner, a Jackie Robinson jersey and some other pieces with a Philly flavor. New Jersey fans across the river, including one writer, have already made the pilgrimage.
