The weekend prior to Opening Day, a new product devoted to the game’s biggest icon will hit the ma
rket. 2017 Leaf Immortals Babe Ruth Collection will guarantee at least two Ruth bat relic cards in every box.
Set for release March 31, the release is entirely devoted to The Babe with six cards per pack.
Each box will include two base cards (no Yankee logos as Leaf doesn’t have an MLB license), two Yankee Stadium seat relic cards, a Red Sox game-used bat piece card from his earliest days in the big leagues and another 
game-used bat card from his Yankees career.
The base set will feature photos from Ruth’s life and career
Randomly inserted are the three big 1/1 hits: a cut signature, a bat knob card and a bat barrel card.
Leaf says it has produced only 175 ten-box cases so assuming each of the 1/1 cards is in a different box, your odds of buying a box and landing the Ruth cut signature, bat knob or bat barrel card are a little less than one in 600.
Boxes are currently priced at $175-$185 on eBay.
