It’s the 35th anniversary of the Miracle on Ice and at least 17 members of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey team will be signing autographs at the 2015 National Sports Collectors Convention.
TriStar Productions announced its initial list of confirmed autograph signers on Thursday and the gold medal winning squad members were a new addition to the recent NSCC show lineup of Baseball Hall of Famers and selected stars from other sports.
Neal Broten, Dave Christian, Jim Craig, John Harrington, Steve Janaszak, Rob McClanahan, Ken Morrow, Jack O’Callahan, Mike Ramsey, Buzz Schneider, Dave Silk, Eric Strobel, Phil Verchota, Mark Wells, Mike Eruzione, Mark Johnson and Craig Patrick have all agreed to be part of the lineup.
The National is set for July 29-August 2 at the Stephens Convention Center in Chicago.
Dozens of other athletes have confirmed attendance. The list includes all four members of the 2015 Baseball Hall of Fame class: Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, John Smoltz and Craig Biggio.
Other guests include Cal Ripken Jr., Brooks Robinson, Ozzie Smith, Frank Thomas, Johnny Bench, Lou Brock Wade Boggs, Rod Carew, Roger Clemens, Al Kaline, Reggie Jackson, Fred Biletnikoff, Bob Griese, Lawrence Taylor, Bob Lilly, Gale Sayers, Mike Tyson and Bobby Hull.
