She was nine years old when she started collecting. That was in 1971. Women aren’t supposed to reveal their ages but you can do the math.
Minnesota resident Deb Thompson has been an autograph hound and baseball fan longer than many of the guys you’ll see at a card show.
She owns a huge hoard of signatures from Hall of Famers past and present and the chase never ends, whether she’s at the ballpark, chasing Ken Griffey Junior down on a pheasant hunt or dreaming about a trip to spring training.
The local newspaper thought it was interesting enough to dispatch a feature writer who did OK, except for the part about "Thurmond" Munson.
