School is letting out, a holiday weekend lies ahead and baseball season is in full swing. For those who follow sports memorabilia auctions, this might be the busiest time of the year so far with several auctions slated to close–or open–in the next couple of weeks.
There’s a lot of competition and that could be good news for bidders, but there are also a lot of very rare, high-grade pieces coming up for bid that will attract a lot of attention.
Several companies will wrap things up before the holiday weekend.
Huggins & Scott Auctions current auction ends today and tomorrow, May 26-27. Highlights from the auction include: 1968-69 Hank Aaron Game-Used Signed Braves Jersey, 1969 Topps Baseball Card Autographed Near Complete Set, Babe Ruth Single-Signed 1932-1935 Spalding Baseball, The Beatles Signed Postcard Framed with Album and more. The auction includes 740 lots of cards and memorabilia.
SCP Auctions opens online bidding today with more than 750 lots, spanning
the history of baseball, football, basketball, boxing, hockey and golf. Citing the quality and diversity of the material across a broad range of categories, the event is being touted by SCP Auctions officials as one of their finest Internet auctions to date.
Legendary Auctions current auction concludes today and tomorrow. The auction features hundreds of sports and non-sports singles, lots and PSA Registry sets , as well as thousands of original photos featuring the original prints of A.B. Rickerby, and the final offering of glass plate negatives from the Detroit News archive.

Andy Madec Sportscards, Inc will be launching their latest auction Thursday, May 26. The auction includes the usual assortment of high grade vintage cards as well as memorabilia, and Americana items. The highlight of the auction is the Finest Abraham Lincoln signed document in existence w/ a PSA/DNA signature grade of MINT 9.
The Goodwin & Company Masterpieces and Uncommon Commons XXVII auction
closes on Thursday, June 3rd, with cards from the 19th century through the Topps and Bowman years, along with a myriad of Caramel and Tobacco cards, autographs and memorabilia.
Touchdown Treasures specializes in unique and vintage football memorabilia and cards. Their Pre-Summer Sports Auction features 140 lots and will be closing on Friday, June 4.
Imperial Sports Auctions opens bidding on June 1st and closes on June 17th. Highlights include: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Lazzeri, Huggins, et al. Signed Autograph Book, Babe Ruth Signed Autographed Baseball c.1920 – 1924,
