Another hobby shop burglary in the south has police searching for a suspect.
Police in Trussville, AL say someone used a large rock to smash the glass front door of All Star Sports Cards Emporium just after 1 AM on April 28. The store is located in a shopping center on Gadsden Highway. Trussville is locate northeast of Birmingham.
The store’s surveillance images show the suspect entering the store and inside.
Police say the suspect left through the building’s back door, hauling away nine sports card boxes with a retail value of over $10,000. If arrested, he could face multiple charges including burglary, theft of property and criminal mischief.
It’s the third known smash and grab burglary in the last ten days. One took place at a Kentucky Roadshow in Lexington, KY last week and another at Eddie’s Sports Treasures in Knoxville, TN last weekend.
