The New York Mets have opened the 9/11 Remembrance Charity Auction, featuring special autographed NYC service agency caps worn in pre-game warm-ups prior to the team’s September 11 game this year.
The caps commemorated the 12th anniversary of the response to the terrorist attacks on the city and include logos from the city’s police and fire departments, among others.
Caps worn and signed by David Wright and Zach Wheeler are among 45 up for grabs.
Proceeds from this auction will be distributed by the Mets Foundation to 9/11 related organizations. All hats have been certified by the MLB Authentication Program.
The auction closes Sunday night. To see them and bid, visit MLB Auctions.
