The National Sports Collectors Convention will honor founder Mike Berkus by naming the event’s center stage the Mike Berkus Center Stage. The announcement came at a private NSCC dinner attended by members of the Berkus family and collectible industry executives attending the 30th Industry Summit trade conference at the Sheraton Waikiki.

“Mike Berkus guided the National Sports Collectors Convention since he founded the event, back in Los Angeles, 1980, leading it to become the multi-billion dollar sports and entertainment collectibles industry’s premier showcase.” said John Broggi, NSCC Event Director. “One of Mike’s many visionary success stories was the creation of our event’s Center Stage. So it is with great honor we dedicate and continue his legacy by naming it the Mike Berkus Center Stage in Atlantic City this summer.”

The National will be held, August 3-7 at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
Advance admission tickets for the show will go on sale starting March 1 on the show’s website. In addition, TRISTAR Productions will start announcing athletes who will be signing in the TRISTAR Autograph Pavilion March 1. CEO Jeff Rosenberg says more than 120 athletes may be signing at this year’s show.
The show just launched an Instagram page.
