Five companies whose business is centered about sports cards are among the top 25 eBay sellers in the world, based on feedback.
DC Sportscards, COMC Consignment, Greg Morris Cards, Probstein123 and Burbank Sportscards all received 15,000-40,000 feedback ratings in the last 30 days. The numbers don’t include buyers who didn’t leave a rating.
According to the data compiled by Marketplace Pulse, Virginia-based DC Sportscards received more than 39,000 feedback ratings in the 30-day period. Headquartered in Redmond, WA, COMC took in nearly 27,000 while Southern California-based Greg Morris was rated over 25,000 times.
Greg Morris Cards’ account shows the highest lifetime volume of items sold at 6.8 million since 2002. Burbank Sportscards has 6.2 million sold listings since 2005 while COMC has registered 5.3 million cards sold in just 7 1/2 years the company has cross-listed consignors’ items on eBay.
Overall, the current worldwide top 100 list includes 39 U.S. sellers, ten of which are primarily accounts devoted to sports cards–certainly evidence that there’s still a strong appetite for cards.
Long-time seller 4 Sharp Corners didn’t make the top 25 but did land in the top 50, adding over 8,400 ratings to its profile in the last month. 2Bros Sportscards, Batters Box, Triple Play Sports of Sioux Falls and PC Sportscards were the other sports card sellers who made the top 100.
In all, the top 10 sports card sellers have sold over 34 million cards through eBay since opening an account.
Leading the top 100 list was Second Sale, a buyer and seller of used books, which received more than 111,000 ratings in the 30-day period and has a lifetime feedback of over 5 million.
