The Hanson brothers, immortalized in the hit movie Slap Shot, were essentially playing themselves in the Paul Newman flick. They wound up stealing the show. Truth is, they weren’t all brothers and they were pretty good hockey players with some connections to hockey royalty.
The movie spawned a Hanson Brothers cottage industrythat keeps them on the road much of the year.
