More Victor Wembanyama rookie cards are on the way. 2023-24 Panini Recon Basketball is set for a May 1 release date.
Each Hobby box carries ten packs with six cards per pack. Of the 60 cards, 20 are inserts. A typical box holds two autographs. Cases have 12 boxes. Oklahoma City Thunder star Chet Holmgren adorns the front of the box.
Recon, as usual, will bring a wide variety of designs and colors. New this year are Novice Patch Autographs, Seasoned Pro Autographs and Archetype Signatures.
Back again this year are Rookie Jersey Autographs, Sophomore Acetate Autographs and Draft Night Acetate Signatures, featuring the NBA Draft logo, pictures of the player on draft night and an autograph.
There will be numerous parallels for the base set, including Holo, Holo Bronze (#’d/299), Hold Red (#’d/199), Holo Blue (#’d/99), Holo Purple (#’d/75), Holo Effect (#’d/49), Holo Gold (#’d/10), Holo Green (#’d/5), Holo Platinum (#1/1) and the super short-printed Holo Dots.
New inserts for 2023-24 are The Mighty, featuring top players like Nikola Jokic and Rookie Portraits. Each will have numbered parallels.
Among the rarer inserts are Gala (# to 8), which moves over from the Chronicles side and the new Fuzion and Contours.
Look for new parallels, Purple (#’d/75) and Effect (#’d/25), for inserts such as Vector, Rookie Recon, Future Legends, Rock the Rim, The Mighty, Rookie Portraits, Rookie Review, World Travelers, Fleet Feet, and Sky’s the Limit.
