It’s a little like a game of Blackjack or Let’s Make a Deal. Do you take the bird in the hand option and stick with what you’ve got or take a chance on something better? 2022 Topps Rip Baseball boxes arrived Wednesday, offering four packs of decisions for collectors to make.
It’s the third year for the online exclusive product.
Each box (priced at $99.99 via this page) has four cards, with each base card numbered to 99 (a full checklist is available for download at the end of this story).
The checklist has 100 players in all, including rookies, stars and former greats.
There are several parallels possible including:
Orange Parallel – # to 75
Fuchsia Parallel – # to 65
Black Parallel – # to 50
Riptide Parallel – # to 40
Aqua Parallel – # to 35
Purple Parallel – # to 25
Green Parallel – # to 15
Blue Parallel – # to 10
Gold Parallel – # to 5
Red Parallel – # to 1
Each base card is a “rip card” that you can tear apart to reveal a mini card inside. Those are numbered to 75 except for the parallels below. The mini card checklist also has 100 cards.
Parallels include:
Orange Parallel – # to 60
Black Parallel – # to 50

Also in the mix are “Ripped from History” autographed cards that are based on the design of previous Topps baseball releases. They’re numbered to no more than 15.
Boxes are available via this page until supplies last.
