You expect to find relics in a museum. So, collectors will not be disappointed when opening packs of 2022 Topps Museum Collection baseball when it becomes available September 7. There will be plenty of relic cards. Autograph cards, too.
A hobby box will be broken down into four mini-boxes, with five cards per mini. Collectors can expect to pull three base cards, one base parallel, and one hit from each mini box. The hits in each hobby box will include one on-card autograph, one relic, an autographed relic and a quad relic.
Case hits will feature a Museum Collection Framed Autograph card and a Jumbo Relic Autograph card.

2022 Topps Museum Base Set
The base set for 2022 Topps Museum Collection will have 100 cards with a mixture of rookies, veterans and former MLB stars. There will be five different parallels that collectors can find: Copper, which is limited; Sapphire, numbered to 150; Amethyst (99), Ruby (50) and Emerald (1/1).
Each box will also include a Canvas Collection Reprints card. These are reproductions of hand-drawn art featuring an MLB star, with an Artist Proof Parallel numbered to 50.
There will also be 1/1 premium versions, including Canvas Collection Originals, Canvas Collection Originals Shaped Sketch and Canvas Collection Original Player Autographs.
Autographs
New to the signature cards in the Museum Collection will be Framed Hall of Fame Autographs, numbered to 10 or less.
The returning popular signature cards are found in Archival Autographs, numbered to 299 or less. These are on-card autographs of stars, retired greats and rookies. Parallels can be found in Copper, numbered to 50; Gold (25); and Emerald (1/1).
Atelier Autographed Book cards will be numbered to 25 or less. The book card will feature an MLB star with an on-card autograph, combined with panoramic images of their home stadium.
Superstar Showpieces also feature on-card autographs and high-action images of some of the game’s top stars. These cards are numbered to 25 or less.
Dual On-Card Autographs, as the name implies, features a pair of signatures and are numbered to 15 or less. Triple On-Card Autographs squeezes three signatures onto the card and is numbered to 5.
Another popular feature of the Museum Collection set is the Museum Framed Autograph cards, which are a case hit. The on-card autographs are surrounded by a metallic frame. Parallel frame cards include Silver, numbered to 15; Gold (10), Black (5) and Wood (1/1).
Relics
What is a museum collection without relics? Topps has several to find in this year’s product.
Making its debut this year is the MLB Authenticated Base Relics, where players are paired with a base used in one of their games. The cards are numbered to 10 and have parallels in Ruby (numbered to 5) and Emerald (1/1).
Momentous Material Jumbo Patch cards feature large game-used patches from MLB players. The cards are numbered to 5 and have a 1/1 Emerald version.
There are three other relic subsets that are 1/1 cards — MLB Silhouetted Batter Logo patches; Museum Memorabilia Laundry Tags, which feature game-used uniform laundry tags; and Jumbo Lumber Bat Nameplate cards.
More commonly found will be Meaningful Materials Relics, which will feature memorabilia from veterans, rookies and retired players. These cards will be numbered to 50 or less. Parallels will be found in Copper, numbered to 35; Gold (25); Ruby (10); and Emerald (1/1). Dual Meaningful Material Relics will feature notable pairings with game-used pieces. They also will be numbered to 50 or less, with parallels in Copper, numbered to 35; Gold (25); Ruby (10); and Emerald (1/1).
Single-Player Primary Pieces Quad Relics is a mouthful to say, but it does include four pieces of game-used memorabilia from the featured player. These cards are numbered to 99 and feature parallels in Copper (numbered to 75), Gold (25) and Emerald (1/1).
Single-Player Primary Pieces Quad Relic Legends showcases the game’s best players with four game-used pieces on the card. These cards are numbered to 25 and have parallels in Gold (numbered to 10) and Emerald (1/1).
Four-Player Primary Pieces Quad Relics will have four-player combinations with game-used memorabilia from each player on the card. These are numbered to 99 with parallels in Copper (numbered to 75), Gold (25) and Emerald (1/1).
Autograph Relics
Moving to cards that contain signature and memorabilia, MLB Authenticated Base Autograph Relics combine authentic jumbo relics and signatures of the game’s top players. These cards are numbered to 10 with parallels in Ruby (numbered to 5) and Emerald (1/1).
Museum Framed Autograph Patch Cards feature at least 25 MLB greats with on-card signatures and jumbo game-used patches; the cards are 1/1s. Museum Framed Dual Autograph Patch Book Cards, another 1/1 offering, will showcase two players with jumbo game-used patches and a pair of autographs.
Autographed Jumbo Lumber Bat Relics will combine signatures with jumbo game-used bat barrel pieces. These cards are numbered to 5 and have a 1/1 Emerald parallel. New to the set this year are Dual Autographed Jumbo Lumber Bat Relics, which features two players, jumbo bat barrel pieces and autographs. These cards are also numbered to 5 and have a 1/1 Emerald parallel.
Other auto-relic combinations include Momentous Material Jumbo Patch Autographs, which are numbered to 15 and feature jumbo patch pieces and signatures. Parallels can be found in Gold (numbered to 5) and Emerald (1/1). Momentous Material Dual Jumbo Patch Autograph Book cards has more than 20 subjects and will be numbered to 5. There is also a 1/1 Emerald parallel.
Single-Player Signature Swatches Dual Relic Autographs contain two game-used memorabilia pieces and a signature. These cards are numbered to 399 and have parallels in Copper (numbered to 50), Gold (25) and Emerald (1/1).
And the Single-Player Signature Swatches Triple Relic Autographs includes three game-used pieces and a signature. These cards are numbered to 399 and have parallels in Copper (numbered to 25), Gold (25) and Emerald (1/1).
