Mixing abstract with action, 2022 Topps Inception Baseball is set to be among the early releases of the year. The annual early spring release will have an emphasis on young players and rookies, with one autograph per box.

2022 Topps Inception Configuration and Base Set
Inception boxes will carry one pack of seven cards with a single autograph or autographed relic card guaranteed. Also expect two base parallel cards among the content.
Base Cards
The base set consists of 100 cards, with a checklist heavy on the league’s most popular players and first year talent. There aren’t as many parallels in Inception as you’ll find in some other releases but there will be several, including:

Purple – #’ to 150
Magenta – #’d to 99
Red – #’d to 75
Orange – #’d to 50
Blue – #’d to 25

Autographs
Autograph content starts with base rookie and Emerging Stars cards.
Parallels will include:

Inception Silver Signings feature cards that are signed in metallic ink. They’ll be numbered.

• Gold Ink Inception – #’d 1 of 1
Inception Dawn of Greatness Autographs are focused on rookie seasons of outstanding players. They’ll be sequentially numbered to 20.
Parallels:
• Orange – #’d to 10
• Blue – #’d to 5
• Inception – #’d 1 of 1
Short Print Inception Autographs are image variations and will be numbered to 10.
Autographed Relic Cards
Inception Autograph Patch cards will feature player-worn uniform patches and player autographs. They’ll be numbered and include numerous parallels including:
• Magenta – #’d to 75 or less
• Red – #’d to 25
• Orange – #’d to 10
• Blue – using uniform buttons, #’d to 6
• Green – #’d to 99 or less
• Inception – using manufacturer logo, #’d 1 of 1
Jumbo Patch cards, with oversized relic pieces, will be case hits with four parallel versions:
• Orange – #’d to 25
• Blue – #’d to 10
• Red — #’d to 50
• Inception – #’d 1 of 1
Inception Autograph Jumbo Hat Patch cards will have three different jumbo patch pieces from player-worn ball caps with three different versions in the mix:
• Team Logo – #’d to 5
• New Era Logo – #’d to 5
• MLB® Logo – #’d to 5
Autographed Team Logo Patch Book cards offer oversized jumbo player-worn patch pieces of team logos along with player autographs. They’ll be numbered to just 2.
Letter Book cards are oversized jumbo player-worn patch pieces from jersey nameplates along with the auto. They’ll also be numbered to 2.
Gameday Gear Autograph Relic Book Cards will have pieces of player-worn jersey patches, socks, batting gloves and caps. They’ll be numbered to 5 with 1/1 Inception parallels.
New this year are Inception Autograph Batting Glove Relic cards which will include what Topps says is a “jumbo strip” of
player-worn batting gloves. They’ll be numbered to 25 or less with 1/1 parallels.
Inception Autograph Laundry Tag Book cards will be 1/1 and have a jersey laundry tag and a player autograph.
Inception Autograph MLB Silhouetted Batter Logo Patch Book Cards will also be 1/1.
Dual Autograph Relic Book cards combine two players with jumbo patch pieces and autographs. They’ll be numbered to 3 with 1/1 parallels.
Game Socks Relic Cards will feature pieces of the the colorful STANCE MLB team socks and player autographs. They’ll be numbered to 3 with 1/1 parallels possible.
Cases will guarantee:
• 4 Inception Autograph Patch cards
• 1 Inception Silver Signings Autograph card
• 1 Autograph Jumbo Patch Card or Autograph Jumbo Hat Patch card
