For some it’s just an annual tradition…buying the entire set of Topps’ flagship product like they’ve done for years.
For those who don’t really care about autographs, relic cards and inserts, it’s an outlet to snare a set without ripping a few hundred packs.
For others, it’s a quick and easy gift for a kid who likes baseball and cards.
The 2022 Topps Baseball Factory Sets will return in August with at least a couple of options for collectors who will also once again get a little surprise bonus in the box.
There will be two primary versions: a Hobby set and a Retail version. Each set will contain 660 cards: all 330 base cards from Series 1 and the 330 from recently released Series 2. The official release date is August 3.
Hobby Factory sets with come with a cello pack of five random serial numbered foilboard parallels.
Retail sets will have a set of five Rookie Image Variations included: Wander Franco, Jarren Duran, Oneil Cruz, Brandon Marsh, and Shane Baz.
In past years, Topps has also produced Retail factory sets for stores like Target and Walmart and sometimes another that’s only available during MLB All-Star Fan Fest. Details aren’t yet available yet.
The 2022 Topps Hobby Factory sets are priced at around $50-$60.
