One of the year’s super premium baseball products has been released. 2022 Topps Diamond Icons is focused on low production and big names.
Each box contains ten cards—all hits. A typical box will contain:
7 Autograph Cards
2 Autograph Relic Cards
1 Relic Card
Cases contain four boxes.
Each card in Diamond Icons is numbered to no more than 25 but there are a variety of lower numbered parallels throughout the product.
Autographs
There are standard autographs along with those that fall under the Diamond Icons and Icons of the Diamond subsets (yes, those names are correct).
There are also Red Ink and Silver Ink versions.
All have Black (# to 10), Red (# to 5) and 1/1 Gold parallel versions.
Relic Cards and Auto Relics
Relic subsets include Diamond in the Rough, MLB Logo Patch (1/1), Dual Player and Preeminent Pieces. Look for autographed versions of some of the Relic sets.
Among the bigger hits are Diamond Relics, which are numbered to 5 and contain four mini gemstones.
Dual Player Relic Book cards are numbered to 10 and feature big relic pieces for two different players.
Also in the mix are Jumbo Patch autograph relics, single player autograph relics and autographed dual relics.
Single Player-Dual Team autographed relics will feature a player’s memorabilia swatches from two teams that he played for during his career.
Cut Signatures
There’s a huge checklist of Cut Signatures with over 160 former players featured and each numbered to 4 (there are also 1/1 Gold versions).
Immortal Cut Signatures are 1-1 with autographs from some of the biggest names in baseball history including Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Ty Cobb, Connie Mack, Honus Wagner, Cy Young, Jimmie Foxx, Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Satchel Paige, Ted Williams, Roberto Clemente and others.
