After a lengthy hiatus, Topps has once again partnered with the McDonald’s All American basketball games to produce a chrome product featuring some of the country’s top up and coming talent.
The product, which will feature a 100-card base set, inserts and autographs, highlights both the men and women featured on the 2022 East and West rosters of the games. Many of the players in the game have made their mark at the college level this season.
The product is slated to release on March 22. A checklist is below.
Topps issued cards for the annual game from 2006-2008 as part of its sponsorship deal. Kevin Durant, James Harden, Jrue Holiday, DeMar DeRozan, Elena Delle Donne and Maya Moore are some NBA and WNBA stars that have previously been featured in Topps McDonald’s All American sets. In the last year of the promotion, Topps handed out cards to fans who attended the game in Milwaukee. Interestingly, Holiday would later wind up playing for the Bucks.
Case/Box Break and Configuration
The 2022 product will be distributed in more traditional fashion with 20 pack boxes and four cards per pack available to collectors. Each box will contain two Chrome Autograph cards. Cases will hold 12 boxes.
Topps Chrome McDonald’s All-American will feature sticker autographs on the chrome cards as well as on-card paper autographs in the Gameday set. Topps released a short video on its YouTube channel in March of 2022 highlighting the photo shoot and autograph signing it had with the players.
