The briefcase is back.
One of last football season’s latest arriving products save what many collectors feel is the best. 2022 Panini Flawless NFL is set to arrive Wednesday, with its usual array of low numbered cards, autographs and cards thick enough to serve as coasters (but don’t do that).
All cards in Flawless are numbered to 25 or less and all autographs are on-card or cut autographs.
Boxes—or in this case metal briefcases—contain ten cards, including six on-card autographs, one or two cards with mini gem stones and two or three memorabilia cards.
Rookie patch autographs are the big drawing card including signed cards from last season’s class that included Brock Purdy, Garrett Wilson, Sauce Gardner, Kenny Pickett, Chris Olave and others, but there is plenty of other high-end content including autographs from some pro football icons.
There are new on-card autographed sets including Flawless Frame Signatures, Rookie Frame Signatures, and Champions 2x, 3x and 4x Signatures. There’s also a new 1 of 1 Black Diamond parallel.
Some cards will fold out to reveal another autograph and/or memorabilia piece. They include Rookie Booklets, Veteran Booklets, Signatures Gems, Flawless Duals, Quad NFL Shield Autographs, Super Bowl Gems and Red, White and Blue Autographs.
The base cards, 115 in all, are all serial numbered to 20 with numbers 96 to 115 featuring rookies and numbers 71-95 all about former players.
Base set parallels include:
- Sapphire – /15
- Diamond – /10
- Emerald – /5
- Aquamarine – /2
- Diamond Black – 1/1
- Platinum – 1/1
The lowest current eBay price for boxes is around $7,500.
