Let the Logoman hunts begin.
2022-23 Panini Flawless Basketball is set to arrive next week. The high-end release has been delayed for a few months and will arrive just ahead of the final weeks of the 2023-24 regular season, packing its usual stack of thick cards with autographs, gems and game-worn memorabilia pieces.
Packed once again in a metal briefcase-type box, Flawless again offers a single, ten-card pack with no less than eight of those ten cards carrying an autograph. The current release date is Thursday, March 27. There’s a First Off The Line version with exclusive content that was offered through Panini’s website.
Base cards are sequentially numbered to 20 or less and feature a genuine diamond embedded in the card.
Autographed memorabilia cards will be found in Flawless Patch Autographs, Star Swatch Signatures and Signature Prime Materials.
Look for the first game-worn jersey cards of the year for last season’s rookies. In fact, Panini promises all memorabilia cards in Flawless contain swatches of uniforms that were worn on the court.
Flawless is known for its 1/1 Logoman cards and this year’s product will have them again–some with autographs and some without.
Laundry Tag and Championship cards return as well, with some carrying autographs.
New this year are 1/1 ‘The Finals’ cards, with multiple diamonds embedded in the card and Scoring Title.
Bill Russell Tribute patch cards feature players and the special number 6 patches worn around the league to honor the late great Hall of Famer.
Excellence Signatures and Flawless Finishes are signed cards that will include rookie cards of some of the game’s top young players. Distinguished Autographs focuses on both current players and former stars. Draft Gem Signatures is another autograph subset, with a checklist also holding names from the present and recent past.
Panini will pay homage to NBA history with several insert sets. Legends cards honor former greats like Magic Johnson.
Championships recall Finals champions and Drafts will pair greats who were part of the same rookie class.
Career Milestones is a 15-card set that will highlight accomplishments of various players last season.
As always there will be plenty of parallel versions of most cards on the 208-page checklist.
