Topps is pushing its University brand out once again, with 2022-23 Bowman U Best Basketball set for release on June 29, with more cards of Victor Wembanyama and Caitlin Clark set to be part of the product.
Hobby boxes will contain 12 packs in a two mini box format, with two autographs total. Cases will have eight boxes.
Each pack will hold four base cards and one base Refractor parallel.
Base Set
The base set will hold 100 cards of both men’s and women’s players. Wembanyama and women’s star Caitlyn Clark will be part of it, according to preliminary information released by Topps, as well as other incoming pro prospects and current college athletes.

Inserts
Six different insert sets are planned for Bowman U Best Basketball.
Hardwood Warriors will be found one in every three packs while Flashing Lights will be in every six packs. Each will have Speckle Refractor parallels (one in every 96 packs), Lava (# to 50) and 1/1 SuperFractors.
Neon Neophytes, found in every six packs will focus on your college players, thanks to the NIL rules. They’ll have Speckle (1:96 packs), Lava (# to 50) and 1/1 SuperFractors.
Bowman Masterpieces are in every 18 packs with Speckle (1:192 packs), Lava (# to 50) and SuperFractors.
Bowman U Buckets are die-cut inserts, focused on scorers and generally found one per box with Speckle (1:96), Lava (# to 50) and SuperFracgtors in the mix.
Constellations of Greatness will be tough pulls, found only in every 480 packs. They’ll have 1/1 SuperFractors.
Autographs
Best of 2022/23 will be the most commonly found autograph subset in Bowman U Best.
Refractor versions will be unnumbered but there are several serial numbered versions set to be on the checklist, including:

Dual and Triple Autographs will be part of the product, with each numbered to 25 except for Red Lava Refractors, which will be numbered to 5 or the 1/1 SuperFractors.
Flashing Lights inserts will have autograph parallels numbered to 99 with Speckle parallels (# to 99) and SuperFractors.
Autographed versions of the Bowman U Bucket die-cuts, Neon Neophytes and Bowman Masterpieces are all numbered to 99 with Lava (# to 50); Speckle Refractor (# to 25) and SuperFractor parallels.
Constellations of Greatness autographs will be numbered to 10 with SuperFractors also being made.
