Upper Deck’s recently announced deal for fresh batches of pro golf trading cards will bring a second product to market this spring. 2021 SP Game Used Golf is set for a June 9 release. Game Used will follow Artifacts, which is set for release in March.
Each box will contain one five-card pack consisting of two or three base cards and two or three autograph and/or memorabilia cards. Each case will have ten boxes.
The 50-card base set features 25 established players and former greats and 25 rookies. There will be two parallels versions- the Spectrum Auto parallel that falls one in every 12 packs and the low-numbered Red Auto parallel.
Tiger Woods’ exclusive autograph contract with Upper Deck will be put to use with an extension of the Course of a Champion autos that will debut in Artifacts, with nine different cards planned for each set.
The three-tiered First Tee Rookies insert set features autographs and memorabilia from the game’s rising stars, including 2020 U.S. Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau, 2020 PGA Champion Collin Morikawa, and 2017 PGA TOUR Player of the Year Justin Thomas. The regular cards are numbered as low as 99. Spectrum parallels will be numbered to 25 or less.
PGA Tour Course Relic cards will feature course-used sand from TPC Sawgrass, the home of the Players Championship. These, too, will be additions to similar cards that will make their debut in Artifacts. There will be autographed versions as well. The Course Relic cards will continue throughout Upper Deck’s other upcoming PGA/LPGA Tour products.
Tour Gear cards will showcase up to four golfers and multiple pieces of memorabilia including tournament used-cap, glove, tags and buttons.
Supreme Gear memorabilia cards will feature jumbo-sized pieces of memorabilia, as well as bags and tees.
The Leaderboard Letter Marks insert set features autographed manufactured letters which mimic the classic leaderboard lettering seen on tour-used courses around the world. Collectors can chase each letter in the last name of current and former players.
Inked Fabrics and Inked Rookie Fabrics will be numbered as low as ten with Spectrum parallels as low as 3.
Inked Drivers insert cards will also be part of 2021 Game Used Golf, with the silver and black manufactured steel club faces holding player autographs.
