As baseball’s lockout pushes into effect, collectors will at least have a fresh trading card product to open. 2021 Topps Chrome Black Baseball will be making its return after debuting last year to generally positive reviews. While it carries the ‘Chrome’ brand, Black is a separate issue from the regular Topps Chrome set,.
Chrome Black is basically pretty much what you’d expect with cards having a dark, but still shiny look and feel. Each box has four cards: two base, one Refractor parallel and one encased autographed card.
Base Set and Parallels
The base set will have 100 cards, printed on black Chrome stock with a matte finish. Each card will have ten parallel versions, including Refractor parallels numbered to 199 as well as:
• Purple Refractor Parallel – #’d to 150 (new this year)
• Green Refractor Parallel – #’d to 99
• Green Atomic Refractor Parallel – #’d to 99 (new)
• Blue Refractor Parallel – #’d to 75
• Gold Refractor Parallel – #’d to 50
• Orange Refractor Parallel – #’d to 25
