Some former stars will sign cards from the past as Topps pieces together mountains of them for 2021 Archives Signature Retired Player Edition.
The follow up to the Active Player Edition that kicked off Topps’ 2021 product schedule, the Retired Edition is set to arrive July 14.
As usual, each box will contain one encased card from a previous Topps issue, this time carrying that player’s autograph and a foil stamp. All are hand-signed. Each case will carry 20 boxes.
Players typically sign several different cards so serial numbers are kept somewhat limited. Not all of the players on the checklist are big name stars but several Hall of Famers and future Hall of Famers are always part of the release.
While the checklist won’t be released until just before it’s ready to roll out, Topps did provide some images featuring players who will more than likely have autographs in the product. A gallery is below.
