After a one year hiatus, National Hobby Shop day is set to return in 2021.
GTS Distribution, which delivers sports and non-sports cards and other material to stores across the country says it’ll be held Saturday, December 11.
GTS is once again serving as the primary sponsor of the 2021 event, which is designed to drive traffic to brick-and-mortar stores that sometimes see a lull between Black Friday weekend and the week before Christmas. The company expects 150 hobby shops to participate this year. The company provides promotional support to participating shops that sign up,
Collectors who attend are treated to sports card packs and other prize giveaways with their in-store purchases, free food and drink and other attractions.
Autographed memorabilia distributed to shops this year for giveaways will include items signed by Steph Curry, Shaquille O’Neal, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Justin Herbert, Juan Soto, Fernando Tatis, Joe Montana, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mariano Rivera and other current and former stars.
A National Hobby Shop Day Facebook page will provide updates on the promotion including a list of participating stores beginning later this week.
