As the name implies, Topps’ 2021 Bowman Draft set will focus on the players selected in June. This year’s product will be released the week of Dec. 31 and will feature players in their pro uniforms.
There will be three configurations, up from two in 2020. Hobby HTA boxes will have 12 packs with 23 base cards per pack. The product will also feature seven chrome base cards and two chrome base Refractor parallels. Topps is promising three autograph cards per hobby box.
Super jumbo boxes will have five two-pocket packs. Each pack will have 120 cards, 76, of which are draft cards. In addition, each pack will have 33 chrome base cards, eight chrome base Refractor parallels, one Franchise Futures insert and a Genesis insert. Each pack also will contain an autographed card.
The Hobby Lite version makes its debut and will feature 10 packs per box. A pack will have 11 base cards, four chrome base cards and a chrome Refractor card. Each box will have five exclusive chrome Prospect black and white RayWave refractors.
Base cards
There is a 200-card set that will feature 2021 MLB draft picks and promising prospects.
There will be plenty of border parallels, beginning with Sky Blue, numbered to 499. Parallels will also be found in Purple (250); Aqua (199), which is making its debut; Green (99); Gold (50); Orange (25), a hobby exclusive; Red (5), Black (1/1) and Printing Plates (1/1).
Chrome base cards also will have their share of Refractor parallels, with Sky Blue, a hobby-only offering, falling one in every eight packs. Other refractors include Purple, numbered to 250; Sparkle; Aqua Lava (199), which is making its debut; Blue (150); Green (99); Green Sparkle (99), another new offering; Yellow Lava (75), also appearing for the first time; Gold (50); Orange (25), a hobby exclusive; Red Lava (5), which is new; Red (5); SuperFractor (1/1); and Printing Plates (1/1).
A final element for the base set is the popular — and difficult to chase — image variation cards, which substitute photos for selected players.
Inserts
Bowman Draft features four different insert subsets, with three new ones for 2021. Franchise Futures returns and will have Refractor parallels numbered to 250, along with Refractors in Green (99), Gold (50), Red (5) and SuperFractor (1/1).
Genesis is a new subset that focuses on new prospects as they begin their professional careers. Refractor parallels are numbered to 250, along with Refractors in Green (99), Gold (50), Red (5) and SuperFractor (1/1).
Bowman Draft Night, also making its debut, recaptures the excitement and drama from MLB draft day. Player fashions and reactions will be highlighted. This set will so have Refractor parallels numbered to 250, along with Refractors in Green (99), Gold (50), Red (5) and SuperFractor (1/1).
Invicta, another first-year addition to the product, will highlight the best new draftees and prospects who may become superstars someday. Refractor Parallels will include Atomic, numbered to 150; Gold (50); Orange (25), a hobby exclusive; Red (5); and SuperFractor (1/1).
Autographs
The 2021 Bowman Draft set will offer several autographs for collectors. Chrome Prospect Autographs are also available in 16 different parallels. New for this year are Aqua Lava (numbered to 199) and Red Lava (5). This will include autos from the Black and White RayWave subset, a 1/1 offering.

Image Variation autographs will be numbered to 99.
The new Genesis insert will have autograph card parallels numbered to 99. Other Refractor parallels will come in Red (numbered) to 5; and a 1/1 SuperFractor.
Franchise Futures Dual autographs will feature two signatures and will be numbered to 99. Refractor parallels will be available in Gold (50); Orange (25), a hobby exclusive; Red (5) and SuperFractor (1/1).
Bowman Draft Night autograph cards will be numbered to 99, with a Gold Atomic Refractor parallel numbered 50; a Gold Atomic Refractor parallel (25) offered only in hobby boxes; a Red Refractor parallel (5) and a 1/1 SuperFractor parallel.
Bowman Invicta Autograph parallels will be numbered to 99, with refractor parallels in Gold (50), a hobby exclusive Orange (25), Red (5) and SuperFractor (1/1).
Another new set is Class of 2021 Autographs, numbered to 250. This set will have a Gold Refractor parallel numbered to 50, a Red Refractor parallel (5) and a 1/1 SuperFractor parallel.
Finally, the annual All-American Game autographs subset returns with cards to have various serial numbers.
