It’s a product for collectors and flippers who prefer nothing but big name autographs in their boxes. Box breaks certainly don’t take long. 2020 Topps Dynasty Baseball will mark the brand’s return when it arrives this fall, packing one autographed card per box.
Set for release November 4, this year’s edition will feature game-used uniform patch pieces, pieces of game-used baseballs from special MLB events and batting gloves; all signed directly on-card. Each box contains a single encased Autographed Relic Card, Cut Signature, or Dual Autograph numbered to 10 or less. A full checklist is at the bottom of the page.
Autographed Patch cards are the “base cards” of the product, with each numbered to 10. There will be Silver (# to 5) and 1/1 Gold parallels.
Dual Autographed Patch cards will be numbered to 5 with the 1/1 Golds also in the mix.
New this year are Triple Autograph Patch cards numbered to 5 with 1/1 Gold Parallels.
Autographed Dual Relic cards feature a pair of game-used relic pieces. They’re also numbered to 5 or 1.
“On This Day” Autographed Patch cards are back, highlighting specific memorable moments in baseball. They’ll be numbered to 10 with new Silver parallels (# to 5) and 1/1 Golds also possible.
Special Event Baseball Leather will feature those leather relics from game-used baseballs. Each will be numbered to 5 with 1/1 Gold parallels featuring a jumbo relic that includes the event logo stamped on the ball.
Autographed Batting Glove cards have a piece of a player’s game-used glove. Most are numbered to 5 with Wrist Strap and Jumbo Logo variations both 1/1.
Autographed MLB Silhouetted Batter Logo Patches will have what Topps says is an “expanded checklist” this year with up to 75 players featured. All will be 1/1.
Legendary Dual Autograph cards will pair legendary players from the past with a signature from each. All are numbered to 5, 3 (Silver) or 1 (Gold).
The Cut Signature checklist will have around 100 autographs from former greats There will also be Dual Relic Cut Signatures that have two game-used relic pieces alongside matching autograph cuts. All Cut Signature cards will be 1/1.
Boxes are available on eBay for $400-$500.
