2020 Topps Diamond Icons, a high-end release that will pack nine autographed cards to a box, is set to release on June 10.
2020 Topps Diamond Icons Basics
One of the more pricey products in the Topps stable, Diamond Icons is a one-pack box with ten cards per pack. Each box (well over $1,000) will once again have seven on-card autographs, two autographed relic cards and one unsigned relic card. Each case will hold four boxes.
Autographs
All autographed cards will be numbered to 25 or less. Look for Purple (# to 10); Red (# to 5) and 1/1 Gold parallels for all non-relic autographs which will include Silver and Red Ink versions this year.
Cut Signatures of former greats will be part of the product. Regular versions will be numbered to 4 with 1/1 Gold Parallels. There will also be Immortal Cut Signatures featuring the biggest names from deep in baseball’s past.
Autographed Relics
Autographed Jumbo Patches will be the most commonly found auto relics, starting with those numbered to 25 or less with Purple (# to 10); Red (# to 5) and 1/1 Gold Parallels also in the mix.
Single-Player Autographed relics will be numbered to 10 with Red (# to 5) and Gold (1/1) parallels.
Single-Player Dual Team Autographed relics will feature swatches of game-used memorabilia from two different MLB teams and be numbered to 10 or less, also with Red and Gold parallels. Single-Player Dual Autographed relics and Dual Player Autograph relics will be populated with the same numbers. Autographed Diamond relics will be numbered to 10 or less with 1/1 Golds.
New this year are Dual Autographed Diamond Relic Book Cards numbered to 3 or 1 (Gold) and Autographed Preeminent Pieces in which players will sign directly on pieces of game-used cleats. Those will also be numbered to 3 or 1.
Relics
Single and Dual-Player relic cards will be numbered to 10 with Red (# to 5) and 1/1 Gold parallels. Diamond Relics will feature a card with four genuine diamonds. Each will be numbered to 5 or 1 (Gold).
Preeminent Pieces will be numbered to 10 while MLB Logo patches and Spikes relics will be 1/1.
2020 Topps Diamond Icons boxes are available on eBay for around $2,400.
