It’s been a challenging year for schools across the country but kids can still trade report cards for baseball cards at hobby shops. The 2020 Topps of the Class rewards program has returned, as the company partners with stores around the country for a free pack promotion.
Distributors who get them from Topps will be allocating them to their brick-and- mortar shops. Some have already arrived. The packs are supposed to be handed out to kids who bring in a copy of their report card or progress report.
The 2020 Topps of the Class set consists of 100 base cards that are a mix of veteran stars and top rookies. In addition, there are 25 Topps of the Class Greats serial numbered to 299 that feature legends from the past.
The cards carry a design that’s much different from any other set issued this year.
“We’re excited to continue our Topps of the Class program and reward students’ hard work, especially during a challenging 2020, which may have consisted of virtual learning, in-person learning, or both,” stated Emily Kless, Marketing Communications Manager for Topps. “These exclusive cards are designed specifically for the Topps of the Class program, and we can’t wait to see students starting to bring their report cards into their local participating hobby shop and get rewarded with a free pack of cards.”
Mike Trout leads off the checklist as card #1. The full checklist is below.
Some of the cards have made their way to eBay. You can see them here.
