Collectors who’ve been waiting for a 2020 branded baseball product to arrive got their wish Wednesday with the arrival of 2020 Topps Archives Signature Series.
Arriving a week ahead of Series 1, the “active player edition” of Archives Signature packs a single, encased card that’s been autographed. None of the cards are newly-minted, though. As usual, they’re buybacks from previous Topps releases–many from the last two years–with gold foil stamp branding them as part of the Archives Signature line.
Most of the cards feature just one player but there are Dual Autographs, too.
It’s a much earlier release date than last year’s product, which came out in July. A retired player edition is planned for later this year.
Boxes of 2020 Topps Archives Signature are available online with prices hovering between $40-$50. There are 12 boxes to a case.
Over 100 players have signed cards but how many different cards each player has signed isn’t really known. The player checklist is below.
