With the combine, the draft, free agency and year-round football card releases, there isn’t much of an NFL “off season” anymore. That’s a good thing if you love the league and the first NFL-licensed rookie cards of the upcoming season is scheduled to arrive June 5 with the release of Panini’s 2020 Score football.
Traditionally, the first product of the new NFL card calendar, Score is sort of a pre-season flagship issue with a large base set and a relatively low price point.
2020 Score Football Configuration and Base Set
It’s a familiar configuration for 2020 with 40 cards per pack, ten packs per Hobby box and 12 boxes per case. While Score isn’t exceptionally flashy, you won’t get cheated on content. Each box should hold 260 base cards, 90 rookie cards, four autographs, ten parallels and 36 inserts. Those 350 base and rookie base cards will get you within striking distance of a full 440-card set (330 base/110 rookies). As usual, rookies will be pictured in their college uniforms.
