Will NFL training camps open at the normal time? Will the regular season start on time? Will there be some fans allowed inside the stadium? Those questions are still unanswered but we do know the league’s trading card production will continue and one product that will arrive about the time training camps are slated to open is 2020 Panini Luminance.
2020 Panini Luminance Configuration
Back for a third year, Luminance is instantly recognizable with its full-bleed photo look and tall fonts. Each box will contain four packs with ten cards per pack. Cases will hold 12 boxes.
Each box promises three autographs and while there will be sticker autographs, Panini is promising “a deeper on-card rookie autograph checklist than ever before.”
There’s no word yet on the size of the base set, but both veterans and “Rookie Luminance” cards will include several parallels including:
Gold #’d /250
Blue #’d /99
Green #’d /75
Orange #’d /50
Red #’d /25
Pink #’d /10
Platinum #’d 1/1
Rookie Luminance will include autographed versions with four parallel versions including Gold (# to no more than 100); Blue (# to no higher than 50); Green (no higher than 10) and 1/1 Platinum.
Rookie Autographs will also be found in Year One Signatures, which Panini says will be on-card and carry parallels signed in Red, Green and Purple Ink (max /5). There will also be two-player dual signature versions.
Using spotlighting technologies, Spotlight Signatures captures some of the best current and retired players in the NFL with action photography. Parallel versions include Gold (max #’d /49); Green (max #’d /25) and Platinum #’d 1/1.
Illuminated Ink is another autograph subset which will have several low-numbered parallel possibilities including:

New in 2020 Luminance football are case hit inserts, which include Jersey Swap, showing a pair of players trading game-worn jerseys after a game. Shining Stars, Rising, Jubliee and Moments are four other inserts that will be tough to pull.
Oversized memorabilia cards will be found in Jumbo Prime Platinum, with 1/1 NFL Shield versions in the mix.
2020 Panini Luminance currently has a release date of July 15.
