Panini America will bring its Black brand back this summer, with the company promising more on-card signatures, rookies and inserts.
Black, which has a release date of Aug. 26, will offer a 100 card base set with parallels numbered no higher than 50. A hobby box will contain one pack, and there will be five cards to a pack at an SRP of $100.
2020 Panini Black Football Configuration and Base Set
Panini said its breakdown of a typical hobby box will be one base card, a parallel, one autograph card, a memorabilia card and a rookie patch autograph card.
The base cards will have parallels in Silver, numbered up to 50, along with Copper (up to 35), Emerald (up to 25), Gold (up to 10) and Platinum (1/1).
Memorabilia Cards
Memorabilia cards will include Futuristic, which will sport colorful designs and will have parallels in Silver (up to 99), Copper (up to 50), Emerald (up to 25), Gold (up to 10) and Platinum (1/1). Another subset will be Rookie Influx Memorabilia, which will feature oversized rookie jersey cards. The parallels will sport the same colors and serial numbers as Futuristic.
Autographs
As for autograph cards, Panini Black football offers an array of possibilities. The rarest will be the 1/1 Midnight Signatures, which will feature on-card autographs of the NFL’s greatest players.
Bright Lights Signatures also features on-card signatures, with parallels in Silver (numbered up to 25), Gold (up to 10), and Platinum (1/1).
A new feature for this year’s set will be Super Bowl Teammates, which will come in dual and triple autographs.
Auto Relics
There are several issues that will combine autographs and memorabilia. Capstones is a new feature to Panini Black football and will include an on-card autograph and four pieces of memorabilia. Parallels will be featured in Silver (numbered to 25), Gold (up to 10) and Platinum (1/1).
Rookie Patch Autographs will combine large pieces of memorabilia, with the player’s signature in white ink. Parallels include Silver (numbered up to 99), Copper (up to 50), Emerald (up to 25), Gold (up to 10) and Platinum (1/1).
Sizeable Signatures will come in two forms — regular and rookie. Sizeable Signatures Jersey cards will feature silhouette autograph jerseys for current stars and some of the NFL’s greatest players.
Sizeable Signatures Rookie Jerseys will feature jersey/patch autographs and generous swatches of memorabilia. This subset will feature the top players from the 2020 NFL draft.
Both versions of Sizeable Signatures will have parallels in Silver (numbered to 50), Emerald (up to 25), Gold (up to 10) and Platinum (1/1).
