While the regular release is being held up over supply chain issues associated with the fallout from COVID-19, Topps will release a special version of one of its most popular annual releases this week. 2020 Bowman 1st Edition baseball will be offered online beginning Wednesday, April 22 between 4 and 5 PM EDT and continuing through Friday, April 24.
A checklist is below.
It’s a shorter version of the pack product and far more limited in nature. The set will feature 150 prospects on the 2020 Bowman design with a First Edition stamp on the front.
There will be some chase parallels including
- Sky Blue Border 1:2 packs
- Blue Border: # to 150
- Yellow Border # to 75
- Gold Border # to 50
- Orange Border # to 25
- Red Border # to 5
- Platinum 1/1
Topps says there will be some Chrome autographed cards inserted into packs as well but those names haven’t been announced.
Packs will contain ten cards at a cost of $14.99 on the Topps website. Topps says only “a limited number” of packs will be available per customer per day. Delivery will begin May 4.
A portion of the supply will also be allocated to certain hobby shops.
