2019 Topps Tribute is making its return with the usual mix of autographs and memorabilia cards. However, there’s also vintage card element that dates to the company’s dawn as a baseball card maker as well as an autograph honoree from the past.
A full checklist and link to order are below.
2019 Topps Tribute Basics
Tribute will offer six packs of three cards per box. The breakdown will include six base cards along with six autographs, relics or auto relics. Topps does promise you’ll get at least three autos per box. The cost is likely going to be about $275 at retail.
1951 Topps in 2019 Topps Tribute
Topps says it has purchased five complete sets of 1951 Red Backs that will be randomly distributed in packs of Tribute.
The cards will be “framed” and that outer frame will be numbered 1-5.
2019 Topps Tribute Base Cards
No word yet on how many cards will be in the base set, but it’ll consist of veterans and retired stars. There will be 2019 rookie cards but they’ll fall at a rate of only two per case.
Parallels of the sets above will include, but are not limited to:
- Green Parallel – sequentially numbered to 99.
- Purple Parallel – sequentially numbered to 50.
- Red Parallel – sequentially numbered to 10.
- Black Parallel – numbered 1/1.
Autographs
Topps’ partnership with Hank Aaron will be a big part of 2019 Tribute with on-card ‘Career Achievement’ cards featuring the Hall of Famer listed among the autograph content.
Topps is also promoting two new autograph sets: Tribute to the Post-Season and Tribute to Enshrinement. Tribute to the Postseason cards will be hard-signed and sequentially numbered to 99 or less, along with:
- Orange Parallel – sequentially numbered to 25.
- Red Parallel –sequentially numbered to 10.
- Black Parallel – numbered 1/1.
Tribute to Enshrinement focuses on “defining career moments of players in the Hall of Fame,” according to Topps. Autographs will be on card, and numbered to 99 or less. The parallel mix for Tribute to Enshrinement is a little different:
- Purple Parallel – sequentially numbered to 50.
- Orange Parallel – sequentially numbered to 25.
- Red Parallel – sequentially numbered to 10.
- Black Parallel – numbered 1/1.
Standard Tribute Autographs will focus on “a high-end checklist,” according to Topps, which says veteran players, “elite rookies and retired icons” will be signing for the product. All will be sequentially numbered. Also look for:
- Blue Parallel – sequentially numbered to 150.
- Green Parallel – sequentially numbered to 99.

Back for another year are League Inauguration Autographs featuring the top rookie names of the 2019 class and commemorating the start of each subject’s MLB career. All are numbered to 75 with:
- Orange Parallel – sequentially numbered to 25.
- Red Parallel – sequentially numbered to 10.
- Black Parallel – numbered 1/1.
Autograph Patches will focus on current vets and be numbered to 50 with large swatches. Look for the MLB Authentication hologram on the swatch. Red (# to 10) and 1/1 Black parallels are also being produced.
Memorabilia Cards
Each box of Tribute will have one Stamp of Approval relic card, a Dual Relic card and a Tribute Triple Relic card.
Stamp of Approval Relics feature standard size, MLB Authenticated memorabilia pieces of active veterans and young stars that will be numbered.
Dual Relics will feature both single player and dual player subject combinations. Each card will deliver two game-used memorabilia pieces and will be sequentially numbered. Triple Relics will have combinations of three game-used memorabilia pieces per card.
