2019 Topps Museum Collection makes its return on June 19. The annual release features a smallish base set but the big attraction are the autographed relic cards. A full checklist and links to find it for sale are below.
Here’s a look at what will be part of the product:
2019 Topps Museum Collection Basics
Each box will have 20 cards in all– four five-card packs per box with 12 boxes in a case. Each pack will have three base cards, one parallel and one hit. Each box (likely landing at $190-$200) is guaranteed to yield one autograph, one auto relic, one Quad Relic and one Prime Relic.
Base Set
Look for 100 cards in the base set with top rookies, veterans and retired greats on the checklist. These parallels will be along for the ride:
• Copper
• Sapphire – #’d to 150
• Amethyst – #’d to 99
• Ruby – #’d to 50
• Emerald – #’d 1 of 1
Autographed Cards
Archival Autographs will feature over 60 retired, veteran, and rookie players with on-card autographs. Parallels include:
• Copper – #’d to 50 or less
• Gold – #’d to 25 or less
• Emerald – #’d 1-of-1
Museum Framed Autographs will be what Topps calls “the cornerstone of the collection” but they’ll be case hits. These will feature autographs from top players with the cards inside metal frames. Look for:
• Sliver Frame – #’d to 15
• Gold Frame – #’d to 10
• Black Frame – #’d to 5
• Wood Frame – #’d 1-of-1
Dual and Triple on-card autographs will also carry very low serial numbers. Look for around 20 on the Dual checklist and 10 on the Triple.
Autographed Relic Cards
Museum Framed Autograph Patch Cards will contain on-card autos and game-worn patch pieces. All are numbered 1/1 with the checklist expected to include around 30 players. New this year are Dual Autograph Patch Book Cards with a checklist of 15 cards featuring two current stars. Again, all are 1/1.
Momentous Material Jumbo Patch Autographs will include about 75 different players with large patch pieces and autographs, numbered to 15 or less with Gold (# to 5) and Emerald (1/1) parallels. New Dual versions will be booklet-style. Expect Topps to create about 30 different all numbered to 5 or 1.
The Single-Player Signature Swatches Dual Relic Autograph checklist will feature about 40 different players and include an autograph and two relic pieces. All will be numbered with these parallels:
• Copper – #’d to 50 or less.
• Gold – #’d to 25.
• Emerald – #’d 1-of-1.
Single-Player Signature Swatches Triple Relic Autographs will include three relic pieces and an autograph with these parallels:
• Copper – #’d to 25 or less.
• Gold – #’d to 5.
• Emerald – #’d 1-of-1.
Relic Cards
Meaningful Material Relics feature current stars and rookies alongside pieces of their game-used uniforms. Sequentially numbered to 50 or less including these:
• Copper – #’d to 35
• Gold – #’d to 25
• Red – #’d to 10
• Emerald – #’d 1-of-1
Dual versions will have two players featured with Copper, Red and Emerald parallels in the mix.
Museum Memorabilia will feature over 150 MLB Silhouetted Batter logo patches from game-used uniforms. All will be numbered 1-of-1. Laudry Tag versions will have a checklist of around 200, all featuring modern-day stars and rookies. They’ll also be 1/1.
Momentous Material Jumbo Patch Relics will consist of larger memorabilia pieces on cards, all numbered to 5 except for the 1/1 Emerald parallel versions.
Jumbo Lumber Bat Nameplate Relics will feature up to 100 cards showcasing player nameplates from game-used bats. All will be 1/1.
Single-Player Primary Pieces Quad Relics and Legend Quad Relics will have four pieces of game-used memorabilia with all numbered to 99 or less.
Four-Player Primary Pieces Quad Relics will combine four stars and relic pieces from each. There will be a checklist of 25 different combinations. All cards will be numbered to 99 except for these parallels:
• Copper – #’d to 75 or less.
• Gold – #’d to 25.
• Emerald – #’d 1-of-1.
