One of the higher-end single card products on the annual card calendar, 2019 Topps Luminaries baseball makes its return in the summer.
Each card will carry an on-card autograph or autographed relic, with each produced in quantities ranging from 1 to 15.
Autograph Cards
Among the top non-relic autograph hits will be 1/1 Home Run Kings and Hit Kings and Ultra Book cards. The Ultimate Home Run Kings booklet will have 50 autographs of past and present sluggers while the Ultra will feature ten signatures. The Hit Kings Ultimate booklet will carry 40 autographs while the Ultra will have ten.
Regular Home Run and Hit Kings autograph cards will each be numbered to 15 with Red (# to 10); Blue (# to 5) and 1/1 Black parallels also possible.
Masters of the Mound Autographs will feature top-notch pitchers, with cards numbered to 15 and the same Red, Blue and Black parallels also in the mix. There’s also an Ultra Book card with ten signatures that’s 1/1.
The Greatest is another 1/1 Book Card, this time carrying 30 autographs.
New this year are Lighting the Way Dual autograph cards that will pair two players from different eras but with similar playing styles. All will be numbered to 5 or less.
Autographed Relics
Home Run Kings and Hit Kings Autograph Relics will be numbered to 15 with Blue (# to 10) and 1/1 Black parallels.
Home Run and Hit Kings Autograph Patches are numbered to 5 with 1/1 Blacks.
Home Run Kings Autograph Patch Dual and Triple Autograph Book Cards will be 1/1 as will the Letters Autograph Book cards.
Hit Kings Autograph Dual Patch Book cards will be 1/1.
There will be Lighting the Way Dual Autograph Relic cards numbered to 5 or less; Masters of the Mound Dual Autograph patch book cards numbered 1/1 and Masters of the Mound Autograph relics numbered to 15 with Blue (# to 10) and Black (1/1) parallels.
Cut Signature Cards
All Cut Signature cards in 2019 Topps Luminaries will be 1/1. Look for standard cut autographs as well as Relic and Bat Knob cards and Lighting the Way autograph/cut signature booklets, one of which will pair a cut signature of Babe Ruth with an on-card autograph of Derek Jeter.
The release date for 2019 Topps Luminaries is September 4. Boxes are available on eBay for just over $200.
