It’s been around since 1996 and the streak won’t end this year. Plans for 2019 Topps Chrome have been revealed with a release date of July 31.
Once again featuring players from Series 1 and 2 on a higher-end stock, Chrome’s big attraction will be on-card rookie autographs.
2019 Topps Chrome Basics
Chrome will come with both Hobby and Jumbo configurations. It’ll also be available in Value (blaster) Boxes and Value Packs through stores like Target and Walmart.
As usual, Hobby boxes will carry four packs of 24 cards with 12 boxes per case at a cost of about $125 retail. Jumbos will come with 13 cards per pack, 12 packs per box and eight boxes per case with boxes running around $230. You can check pricing on eBay here.
Hobby boxes should contain two autographs with Jumbos holding five signed cards.

2019 Topps Chrome will have a limited amount of memorabilia card content this year with the inclusion of Debut Gear cards, which feature established current and former players pictured in the uniform of their debut organization along with a swatch relic from that team.
