The NFL season is over but the cards will keep coming. 2019 Panini Plates and Patches kicks off the off-season on Friday when it arrives at hobby shops and online retailers.
Plates and Patches is a hit-heavy product that includes just five cards per box. One is an autograph or autographed patch card. There will also be a memorabilia card, printing plate, a parallel numbered to 60 or less and a base card. A printing plate autograph card will be packed in every 12-box case.
Base Set
The base set includes 100 cards, all numbered to 99 or less including these parallels:
Blue #’d /60
Purple #’d /35
Green #’d /25
Red #’d /10
Gold #’d 1/1
Autograph and Memorabilia Cards
Among the big hits will be the Rookie Patch Autographs. They’ll be numbered to 99 with Blue (#’d /50) Green (#’d /25) and 1/1 Gold parallels.
Panini selected some action photographs for its Leaps and Bounds on-card autograph subset, which “features some of the most athletic and explosive players in the NFL,” according to the company.
Highlighting some of the best players in the NFL’s first century, 100 Years Signatures commemorates the milestone with on-card autographs of some of the top players in history.
All Hall is another set with content that includes autographs of former greats who have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Look for some of the best quarterbacks in the NFL with Signal-Callers, which includes on0card autographs and what Panini calls “unique photography.”
Marquee Marks will also have on-card autographs with a checklist centered on some of the game’s top stars.
Patch Trio cards will include three different prime pieces of memorabilia with parallels that include autographs.
Memorabilia card subsets include Full Coverage and Double Coverage, both of which offer oversized patch cards. Rookie Reflections, Patch Trio, Gridiron Gear and Talented Trios will have multiple swatches.
