We’ll have a Super Bowl champion by then and the NFL talk will begin to center on free agency and the NFL Draft but there will still be some fresh football card products hitting the market this winter. 2019 Panini Encased football has a release date of March 4.
2019 Panini Encased Configuration
Panini keeps it fairly simple with Encased, which gets its name from the BGS graded autographed card that is guaranteed with each box. There are five cards in each one-pack box: a base or base parallel card, two memorabilia cards, the graded, encapsulated auto and a second autograph card that isn’t graded. Cases will carry eight boxes.
Box prices should be somewhere above $200 upon release.
Base Set
The design of the base set is uncluttered. There will be 100 different players on the checklist and only five different parallels to look for including:
Base Sapphire #’d /25
Base Gold #’d /10
Base Emerald #’d /5
Base Diamond #’d 1/1
Base Autographs max #’d /20
Autograph and Memorabilia Cards
The BGS-authenticated autographed cards will be from subsets that include Reserve Signatures, Superscribe Signatures, Legendary Signatures, Rookie Endorsements (signed cards with an inscription from the player), Rookie Dual Swatch Signatures, Scripted Signatures, HOF Material Signatures and others.
Rookie Notable Signatures is another subset that will include autographs and inscriptions from this season’s first-year players.
New in 2019 are Century Collection Autographs, which includes three pieces of memorabilia with an on-card autograph.
Rookie Cap Patch autographs showcases the top NFL rookies with memorabilia swatches from player-worn hats.
Substantial Swatches, Substantial Rookie Swatches and Pro Bowl Jumbo Jerseys will all carry oversized patch pieces.
Most all of the autograph and memorabilia cards will have five serial-numbered parallel versions, ranging from 1/1 to 75.
