New product releases have been, well, limited during the spring thanks to COVID-19 but there’s one heading to market now. 2019 Panini Chronicles Football arrives Friday as the line makes its NFL debut.
It’s the final 2019-branded release on the NFL trading card calendar and as such, the last one to offer official rookie cards of last year’s draft picks. It’s arriving one month after its originally scheduled release date.
SRP is $120 per box.
A full checklist is available for download below.
Chronicles will offer eight cards per pack and six packs per box. Each box will average two autographs (stickers), one memorabilia card and six parallels.
The NFL’s 100th anniversary gets big play in the 100-card base set with a giant logo adorning the top of each card. Basic colored parallels range from Red (# to 199) to 11/1 Platinum versions but there are also a couple of different serial-numbered jersey parallels.
Chronicles is really an amalgamation of several different past releases including Classics, Crowne Royale, Gala, Signatures, Score, Gridiron Kings and Vertex.
Among the highlights:
*Updated rookie photography showing players in their NFL jerseys and printed on
opti-chrome stock in the style of Score Update, Luminance Update and Legacy Update.
*Gala Rookies, which are limited to only 8 copies each.
*Crown Royale, featuring die-cut Crown Royale Rookies Autographs.
*Gridiron Kings, an old-school look and feel, with cards printed on canvas stock.
*Dynagon, an early 2000s brand that returns through Chronicles as short-printed throwback inserts.
Chronicles will be releasing first through Panini’s website, although break spots are being offered on eBay.
