The third of the primary Bowman trilogy of baseball card products will arrive during the last month of the year. 2019 Bowman Draft baseball follows Bowman and Bowman Chrome on the calendar. Draft carries the first Topps made cards of this year’s MLB Draft class and neither configuration will be skimpy.
2019 Bowman Draft Configuration
Draft will come in two forms: Jumbo boxes which contain 12 packs of 32 cards including three on-card chrome autographs and Super Jumbo which will include five two-pocket packs of 120 cards with five autographs per box. Expect the Super Jumbo boxes to cost about $60-$75 more than the Jumbos.
Each pack of Jumbo contains 23 base cards plus seven Chrome base cards and two Chrome base Refractor parallels with an auto in every four packs. The 120-card Super Jumbo packs will have 78 base cards, 33 Chrome base cards, eight Refractor parallels and a guarantee of one signed card.
2019 Bowman Draft Base Set and Parallels
The base set of Bowman Draft will be 200 cards, with a checklist of draft picks and other top prospects. Each will have a “paper” and Chrome version. Parallel versions for the paper versions range from Sky Blue (# to 499) to 1/1 Black Border and Printing Plate while Chrome base cards will have unnumbered Refractor versions and ten different serial-numbered colored parallels topped by 1/1 SuperFractors and Printing Plates.
There will also be autographed image variations for some cards, all numbered to 99.
Inserts
Since the draft just took place, Topps wasn’t able to provide many preview images of some of the cards but we do know what 2019 Bowman Draft will include.
Fans of the 1989 Bowman cards should appreciate the 30th Anniversary inserts. Featuring the top draft picks on the 1989 design, they’ll have Refractors that include Atomic (# to 150); Orange (# to 25 and in Jumbos only); Red (# to 5) and 1/1 SuperFractors.
Other inserts include Franchise Futures, which showcase a combination of two 2019 MLB Draft picks from the same MLB team; the new Draft Progression, a triple-subject card featuring a team’s top prospects from the past three drafts and Draft Pick Breakdown, another new insert that features a Bowman scout’s take of the top picks.
Parallels for insert sets listed above will include:
• Refractor: sequentially numbered to 250.
• Green Refractor: sequentially numbered to 99.
• Gold Refractor: sequentially numbered to 50.
• Red Refractor: sequentially numbered
Autographs
The Chrome Draft Pick autograph cards will be parallel city. Check out the list:

Class of 2019 Autographs will be numbered to 250 with these parallels:
• Gold Refractor: sequentially numbered to 50.

Draft Night and Franchise Futures will be numbered to 99 with these parallels:
• Gold Refractor: sequentially numbered to 50.
• Orange Refractor: sequentially numbered to 25. (Jumbo only)
• Red Refractor: sequentially numbered to 5.
• SuperFractor: numbered 1-of-1.
Those 1989 Bowman 30th Anniversary cards will have autograph versions numbered to 99 with these parallels:
• Orange Refractor: sequentially numbered to 25. (Jumbo only)
• Red Refractor: sequentially numbered to 5.
• SuperFractor: numbered 1-of-1.
Box Toppers and Additional Content
Jumbo boxes will have ‘Top of the Class’ box toppers, featuring some of the top picks in the draft on an oversized chrome card. Each card will be numbered to 99 with these parallels:
• Gold Refractor: sequentially numbered to 50.
• Red Refractor: sequentially numbered to 5.
• SuperFractor: numbered 1-of-1.
• Autograph Parallel: sequentially numbered to 35.
Under Armour Game Autographed Cards will feature players from previous Under Armour All-American high school showcase games. All will be numbered to 199.
The Bowman Scout’s Draft Pick Breakdown Autographed Cards will have autographed versions numbered to 99 with Red (# to 5) and 1/1 SuperFractor versions.
