The lines to the big box stores will start forming before the turkey hits the fridge but for collectors and those who love them, Black Friday sports card and memorabilia deals will be where the real action is. It’s become a big deal with some online outlets offering special pricing you don’t typically see during the rest of the year.
We’ve once again tracked down some of the offers and promotions that will be going on during Thanksgiving weekend including Thursday, Black Friday, Cyber Monday (and the rest of the holiday shopping season). Some merchants have already begun offering discounts.
It’s probably not a bad idea to bookmark this page for handy reference in the next several days if you’re doing some online shopping.
Here’s one thing to do right now before anything else–no matter what you’re buying (or when)–even if it’s not sports memorabilia related. Sign up for Rakuten. It’s essentially a free site that offers built-in discounts at thousands of retail outlets (think 3, 5 or even 10% or more) off purchases you make online. There’s even a Chrome plug in which we highly recommend. There’s no catch. You can sign up here and you’ll get $10 back after spending $25.
On with the Black Friday weekend sports deals we’ve learned about…
You can get up to 70% off at SportsMemorabilia.com, including autographed memorabilia, hundreds of display cases and some trading cards as well. Just type in the code that pops up on the website when you check out.
That same deal will be available through Monday through their parent company, Fanatics, which offers apparel and other fan gear in addition to collectibles (look for the “more” tab or use their search box).
The official online shop of Major League Baseball is offering:
- Up to 60% Off (25% Off reg price) (Thurs 11/28)
- Up to 65% Off (30% off reg price) (Fri 11/29-Mon 12/2)
At least some cards and collectibles along with the latest apparel should be part of the sale. You can check it out at Shop.MLB.com.
Topps typically offers specials and will be showing off some of their new online exclusive baseball cards. From Friday through Cyber Monday, the first 1,000 orders will receive a free exclusive card.
The deals (and the free cards) will be posted on the company’s website.
COMC will be conducting a four-day online event with many of its consignment sellers dropping prices through Cyber Monday.
This year they’re offering free shipping on orders of $99 and up and giving away some nice cards on their website and social media channels.
Baseball Card Exchange is offering 10% off their entire website through Saturday and listing specials throughout their online store. New specials will be listed on Monday. Vintage and current era unopened product included.
Steel City Collectibles is promising the largest online sale event in the company’s history. They will have hundreds of items marked down exclusively for Black Friday weekend.
The deals start Thanksgiving night at 8PM Eastern and will include unopened products from hot markets like 2018 football and 2018-19 basketball.
FOCO will be offering 30% off in-stock bobbleheads and other fun sports stuff now through Cyber Monday.

The NBA Store will have 25% off all items on Thursday and more specials Friday-Monday. I mean, who wouldn’t like to have this autographed photo of Larry Bird smoking a cigar with Red Auerbach?
Hunt Auctions’ web store is offering 20% off orders Black Friday through Cyber Monday.
Collect game-worn jerseys? MeiGray’s annual holiday event was announced Wednesday morning on the company’s website.

In their clearance section, we found this very cool book about the 1972 Miami Dolphins, still the only team to finish an entire season undefeated. Inside, there are 50 autographs from members of the team including coach Don Shula.
Steiner Sports, now under the Fanatics umbrella, always offers Black Friday specials on autographed memorabilia and other items. They’re touting 65% off some items.
If you buy sports cards (or anything else) at Target, you can get 5% cash back each purchase by using the company’s Red Card which can be obtained here.
You can also shop their online store which has free shipping and returns.
eBay sellers will sometimes discount items in anticipation of the holiday shopping season. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the eBay sports memorabilia/fan shop, you’re not looking hard enough.
You can find just about anything on Amazon and in addition to the usual electronics and other offers, they will usually have deals on sports cards and memorabilia, which are located here. Individual dealers who sell through Amazon may also be listing specials.
Amazon Prime members can get their orders within a couple of days.
As usual, Blowout Cards will have Black Friday and Cyber Monday specials on cases and boxes, both current and from the recent past.
And, of course, don’t forget to visit your local card shop. You can pick up some free special holiday packs with the purchase of certain products– and maybe win some prizes.
