2019-2020 Upper Deck SPx Hockey Preview

Set for release on March 4 (subject to change), 2019-20 Upper Deck SPx hockey will offer four single-card packs per box.  Each box, on average, will have what Upper Deck calls a “Tech” card, memorabilia card, autograph card and a “Wild Card” that could be any of the above.

The base set will include 100 cards with rookies and veterans, all serial numbered to 349.  There will be four autograph and memorabilia parallels to the base set, highlighted by the low-numbered Premium Materials Auto & 1-of-1 Logo Premium Materials Autograph cards.

Shadow Box Rookies will fall one in every 20 packs with veterans falling one in every 60 packs.  Autograph Shadow Box parallels will come in different tiers of scarcity with all cards serial numbered.

Rookie autographs and memorabilia will be found in UD Black Obsidian Rookies jersey, patch and autograph sets.  Rookie Superscripts will be a 10-card set with Gold Spectrum parallel cards numbered  as low as 10.

UD Black Lustrous returns with a hard signed autograph, a premium memorabilia swatch and an acetate top sheet.   Hit chasers will be on the hunt for the low-numbered Clarity Variant & the 1-of-1 Gold Spectrum parallels.

UD Black Pride of a Nation is a  25-card set featuring top rookies, established superstars and retired legends alongside a manufactured flag patch of their birth country.

Each card in the 15-card Double XL Duos – Materials set, as well as the Premium Materials parallel set (numbered as low as 5), pairs two star players with two oversized jersey swatches.
