Collectors who visit hobby shops and buy certain NHL trading card boxes will have a chance to pick up some free 2019-20 Upper Deck Overtime packs.
The popular promotion has been around for several years and is sponsored by GTS Distribution in the U.S. and Universal Distribution in Canada.
Cards are distributed in three “waves.” The first wave, which starts this month, offers a free Overtime pack of four cards with the purchase of pre-designated products.
Wave 2 is expected to arrive in December.
A complete set will consist of 240 cards once the promotion ends with Wave 3 early in 2020.
The checklist for each wave will consist of 60 veterans and 20 rookies. The rookie cards fall one in every two packs and each pack includes an insert. There are parallel cards for the base set.
