Panini America will debut a new basketball card product after the elongated season’s NBA playoffs–but it’s not an entirely new brand. 2019-20 One and One basketball appears to be the hoops version of Panini One football.
2019-20 Panini One and One Basketball Configuration
One and One is obviously a nod to hoops, bumping the quantity of cards per box from one to two, but keeping the encased autograph card concept. The second card in One and One will be either a base card, base parallel or insert. The SRP is $150 per box, but as with all basketball products since last winter, you’ll be lucky to snare one for that price. Each case will carry ten boxes.

Look for Rookie Jersey Autographs with various levels of memorabilia and plenty of parallels numbered to as low as 1/1. Details on the quantity and types of parallels weren’t released by Panini in their initial preview, but there will be versions with two pieces of memorabilia.
Panini is touting “tons of unique autograph content from veteran players” with on-card autographs of
Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard and other players planned.
First Team Signatures will offer a checklist of 40 players who have earned all-NBA First Team honors, including former greats. All will be signed directly on card.
Among the other subsets are Timeless Moments, which features “unique photography with an on-card autograph,” according to Panini.
Downtown, a theme that’s made its way across multiple Panini products over the years, will be part of One and One this season, with unique artwork featured in a set that includes 25 of the league’s top players.
The base set carries a simple design, with the player’s name in smallish font on the bottom. Look for several different-colored base parallels, like the black version below.
The release date for 2019-20 Panini One and One basketball was originally scheduled for September but will now arrive November 25.
