This week, a new season begins but 2019-20 Panini Flawless Basketball will serve as the encore when it arrives online and at hobby shops and break rooms.
The highest of the high-end hoops products, Flawless again offers one pack of ten thick cards per box. Eight of them are autographed. Memorabilia and base cards round out the pricey packs, which again include tiny gems embedded in some of the cards. Box prices are sitting at $7,500-$8,000 on eBay. Cases have two boxes.
First Off The Line boxes promise two additional Bronze Diamond parallels.
Base Set
There’s a regular 100-card base set along with an additional 100 base cards under the headings of Legends, MVPs, All-Stars and Team USA. Base rookies are sequentially numbered to 20, and feature a diamond embedded in the card. Parallels include Gold (# to 10); Emerald (# to 5), FOTL Bronze exclusives (# to 3) and 1/1 Platinum.
Autographs
The huge hits will come in the 1/1 cards like NBA Logoman patch autos ( 38 players and yes, Zion and Ja are on the checklist (see below) and Laundry Tags (18 players).
Other autographs can be found on Rookie Autographs (20 rookiess); Championship Tags (28 cards of current players); Distinguished Autographs (36 cards of current and former players); Enshrined Signatures (37 card of Hall of Famers); Excellence Signatures (36 current and former players); Flawless Autographs (54 current and former players); Flawless Patches (41 players); Horizontal Patch Autos (42 players); Legendary Scripts (58 former players); Momentous Autographs (55 players), Signature Prime Materials (35 current players), Star Swatch Signatures, Vertical Patch Autos, USA Basketball and Premium Ink (40 current and former players). All will be numbered to 25 or less.
Memorabilia Cards
Look for the first game-worn jersey cards of rookies from the 2019 NBA Draft class in 2019-20 Flawless.
Among the other highlights: a 1/1 Dual NBA Logoman with LeBron James and Zion Williamson and another with Morant and Williamson. Zion and LeBron also have individual Logoman cards that will be among the huge hits.
Patches, Dual Patches and Championship tags are also part of the checklist.
