It’s back for a third year and while a planned “bubble” release date didn’t happen, 2019-20 Panini Encased basketball has a release date of October 21.
Encased offers five cards per box including one BGS-graded on-card autograph, one additional autograph and two memorabilia cards per box, on average. Boxes are available now on eBay for around $700.
Every autograph in the product is numbered to 99 or less. Each case will hold eight boxes. There’s also a First Off The Line version that will have similar content in each box.
Rookie Jersey Autographs will again be the big tickets, with parallels as low as one on the checklist. New this year are Rookie Jersey Autograph Dual versions featuring two autographs and two memorabilia pieces with Prime versions numbered to as low as 1. The FOTL version will have exclusive Bronze (# to 35) and Blue (# to 3) parallels.
Also new this season is the Making the Grade autograph set, which pairs a top rookie and an on-card autograph with each card numbered to a player’s draft position.
Slabbed Signatures and Endorsements are two more autograph themes.
Encased delivers a variety of memorabilia content from rookies, veterans, and former NBA stars.
Look for prime versions numbered to as low as 1. Labels, Rookie Labels and Substantial Swatches are among the themes for memorabilia cards.
2019-20 Panini Encased carries a retail SRP of $225 but most basketball products this year start off at a higher price.
