Returning after last year’s debut, 2018 Topps Luminaries is another in the line of single autograph card products. Luminaries offers one encased autograph card per box with auto relics and book cards providing some of the power. Every card in the product will be serial numbered to 15 or less and it’ll only be distributed through hobby stores.
A full checklist is below.
Luminaries will essentially be divided into three subsets: Home Run Kings, Hit Kings and Masters of the Mound. Each will offer standard autograph cards along with auto relics.
Home Run Kings and Hit Kings autographs will be numbered to 15 with these parallels:
• Red Parallel #’d to 10
• Blue Parallel #’d to 5
• Black Parallel #’d 1/1
The Home Run Kings Ultra Book is a 1/1 card with autographs from the top home run hitters in the game #’d 1/1 but the big prize will be the 1/1 Ultimate Book, which will somehow hold 50 signatures on one card. There will be a pair of 1/1 Hit Kings autograph books with one of them carrying 40 signatures.
Auto Relic Cards
Home Run Kings, Hit Kings and Masters of the Mound auto relics will be numbered to 15 with Blue (# to 10) and Black (1/1) parallels. Autograph patches will be numbered to 5 with 1/1 Black parallels. There will also be 1/1 Dual and Triple auto patches for Home Run Kings and Dual books for Hit Kings and Masters of the Mound.
Additional book cards will be entitled “Letters” and “The Greatest“, both of which are 1/1.
Also among the big hits will be Cut Signature cards, all of which will be numbered 1/1 with Relics and Bat Knob book cards part of the checklist.
